Relax At the Beach

With seven miles of pristine beach, Ocean Isle Beach offers a great family oriented beach. The sloping strand offers gentle surf generally without strong currents. The water temperature is on the average 10 degrees warmer than the Outer Banks area. On the East end of the Island you can visit Ferry Landing Park with a gazebo, picnic tables, fishing pier (don't forget a fishing license) and beautiful views of the Intracoastal  Waterway. Enjoy all the fun the sun, sand, and waves have to offer.

Or
challenge yourself

There are numerous challenging golf courses within four miles or less. Try Sandpiper Bay, Oyster Bay, Rivers Edge, Thistle, one of the award winning courses at Ocean Ridge or one of the many other courses.

Shallotte River Swamp Park offers other types of challenges whether you brave the zip-line tours, aerial adventure park, guided ATV tours and swamp boat Eco-tours you're sure to find a challenge to remember.

While visiting you may want to check out Ocean Isle's Museum of Coastal Carolina with hands-on marine exhibits & a planetarium or one of the area parks.

Fishing is also a favorite for many visiting our area. Deep sea charters are available as well as fishing from Ocean Isle Beach pier or at the Ferry Park.
